Water Filtration Systems

Water Treatment

In addition to a water softener, most people need more water treatment systems and filters. Lone Star Water Services offers additional specialty filtration. Whether you’re on city water that is chlorinated and need a carbon filter…or you’re on untreated well water you may need bacteria filtration or iron, sulfur, and sediment removal.

Say Goodbye to Orange Water: Effective Iron and Sulfur Removal

Is your water orange? This is our efficient and cost-effective way to remove iron and sulfur from your water. The AIO™ Air Injection Oxidizing Filter System as a single tank system is an efficient and cost-effective system for the removal of iron and sulfur. The AIO™ maintains an “air pocket” in the top of the tank while the system is in service. As the water passes thru the air pocket, iron and sulphur are oxidized. Additionally, dissolved oxygen is added to the water. The AIO™ filter media bed then removes the iron and sulfur from the water.

The AIO™ can remove up to 8 ppm Hydrogen Sulfide and up to 7 ppm Iron. A daily backwash will remove accumulated iron and replenish the filter media bed. The regeneration process also adds a fresh air pocket to the system.

How do I know my water softener needs repair?

The AIO™ system comes equipped with a Clack valve air injection control head that automatically backwashes the system daily to clean the media and flush everything down the drain. By utilizing a patented piston in the control valve, the AIO™ is able to put the whole oxidation process inside one tankkeeping maintenance costs and downtime to a minimum.

Poly UF System

The Poly-UF™ offers filtration down to 0.02 micron at service flow rates up to 12gpm. Utilizing EXPRESS’s patented and industry-exclusive liner design, the internal UF module treats colloids, bacteria, cysts, viruses, turbidity, tannins, and other particles down to 0.02-micron size.

MEMBRANE: The patented polysulfone-based Outside/In Ultrafiltration Membrane is designed for turbidity, cyst reduction, and fine sediment filtration applications, and is NSF 61 certified. The membrane operates with the flow from the outside-to-inside, with benefits of minimized risk of deep clogging, simple cleaning of the membrane surface with water and/or air, and a high area volume ratio that allows for a compact design. The membrane is non-biodegradable and has superior mechanical and chemical resistance. The high surface area UF bundles require normal line pressure to operate, low waste discharge when in backwash/cleaning mode, and offer low-pressure drop with high service flow rates.
